Energy

Your Maneki earns Energy from trading losses. Energy can then earn Blood rewards from later losses across the house.

Earning Energy

When a position closes at a loss or is liquidated, each 1 Blood lost earns 1 Energy. A loss of 100 Blood earns 100 Energy. Losses on positions that are still open do not earn Energy yet.

Receiving Blood rewards

When a later trade realizes a loss, part of it may be shared as Blood among Maneki that already hold Energy. Your share depends on how much of the house’s total Energy your Maneki holds.

Your share of future rewards can also fall when other Maneki earn more Energy.

Energy earned from a loss starts participating after that loss. Any Energy your Maneki held beforehand can still share in it.

Rewards add Unprotected Blood to your balance. Energy itself cannot be converted to USDC.

How much is shared?

The House Ratio just before each loss determines the portion available for rewards. A higher ratio allows a larger portion to be shared across all Energy holders.

101%1%
110%10%

150%50%
200% or more100%

At a 110% House Ratio, a 100 Blood loss makes 10 Blood available for rewards. If your Maneki holds 10% of all Energy, it receives 1 Blood.

Rewards are credited as Blood; no USDC leaves the pool at this step.

Daily cooling

By default, your current Energy decreases by 3% at 00:00 UTC each day. Without new Energy, 100 Energy becomes 97 after one daily cooling, then 94.09 after the next.

Check the current cooling rate on the House page →

Manekora can adjust the daily cooling rate over time to balance reward distribution and the overall tokenomics.

Cooling gradually reduces the weight of older Energy relative to newly earned Energy, giving recent losses more weight over time. Every Maneki cools at the same rate, so cooling alone does not change your percentage of the total.

Cooling does not reduce Blood rewards already earned. The lifetime “Energy earned” total also stays unchanged.

When rewards may be zero

Energy has no fixed daily payout. Without new realized losses, there are no new rewards. Sharing is also skipped when:

  • Prices needed to value open positions are unavailable.
  • An emergency security pause is active.
  • The pool holds less USDC than it must reserve for Protected Blood.

Skipped rewards are not saved for later.
