Converting and departing
Turn Blood into USDC at 1 Blood = 1 USDC before fees. Convert keeps your Maneki and its Energy; Depart permanently burns them.
How to convert Blood
- Open Portfolio, choose your Maneki and select Convert.
- Enter a Blood amount or choose Max. You can use up to six decimal places.
- Review the fee and “You receive” amount, then confirm. The USDC goes to your wallet.
You can convert some or all of the eligible Blood. Your Maneki, its Energy and any open positions remain; Blood reserved as margin stays locked.
How much can you convert?
Start with unlocked Blood
Available Blood is your total Blood minus margin reserved for open positions and pending opening orders. Reserved margin cannot be converted.
Protected Blood is used first
- Conversions use your Protected Blood first, paid from its reserved USDC.
- Once that portion is used, converting Unprotected Blood needs available Profit Liquidity: USDC shared by all users beyond the Protected Blood reserves.
The amount you can convert is limited by both your unlocked Blood and the USDC available to pay for it. Available Blood alone does not tell you how much can convert right now.
Example
You have 1,200 Blood: 800 protected and 400 unprotected. With 300 Blood reserved as margin and 100 USDC of Profit Liquidity available, you can convert up to 900 Blood before fees. This uses 800 Protected Blood and 100 Unprotected Blood, leaving 300 Blood reserved as margin.

Fees and your fee-free allowance
Your allowance belongs to the Maneki
Each Maneki starts with a fee-free allowance equal to the Blood it received at mint. A Maneki minted with 980 Blood can convert a total of 980 Blood without a conversion fee, across one or many conversions.
This allowance is separate from Protected Blood. It can cover either portion of Blood. Conversions use it up; trading losses do not, and selling or transferring the Maneki does not reset it. Depart uses the same remaining allowance.
Only the amount above the allowance is charged
The default conversion fee is 5% on the part that exceeds your remaining allowance. The fee is deducted from the USDC payout.
With the default fee, if you convert 300 Blood with 100 Blood of allowance left, 100 is fee-free and 200 is charged 5%. The fee is 10 USDC, so you receive 290 USDC.

If the amount is unavailable
- Blood reserved as margin: close the relevant positions. For a pending opening order, the margin stays locked until the order is cancelled or the resulting position closes.
- Not enough Profit Liquidity: refresh the quote or try a smaller amount. Quotes do not reserve cash; another user may use the shared liquidity first, and future liquidity is not guaranteed.
Depart: permanently close out your Maneki
Depart converts all remaining Blood, applies the same fee rules, then permanently burns the Maneki and its Energy. This cannot be undone.
Before departing
- Close every position and wait until all pending requests are finished.
- The whole payable Blood balance must be convertible now. If there is not enough Profit Liquidity for the unprotected portion, Depart cannot proceed.
To receive USDC and keep your Maneki and its Energy, use Convert.
Very small balances
Conversions use six decimal places. A smaller remainder stays in the Maneki after a normal conversion. Depart discards any remainder below 0.000001 Blood because it cannot be paid in USDC.
